Options Flow Made Easy
Welcome to the exciting world of Unusual Options Flow! Like any new trading strategy it may take some time to learn all about this new type of trading. As with any new skillset, you likely won't be efficient and effective using it right away. It just takes time to learn a new strategy, it takes some trial and error to make it work and integrate it to your overall trading plan, and it takes some time to build new confidence in using it. If you're nervous about taking a new step into the world of options flow, I'd like to show you how Bullflow and our trading community can help make it easier.
To start, as a member of Bullflow you have full access to our options scanner, which scans the market in real time, giving you a complete look at what is happening in the options marketplace.
During the trading day, we have multiple eyes on this scanner looking for the general feel of the options market and looking for trades that stand out as unusual. It's these unusual trades that we want to investigate further. When we see interesting options flow, we will alert the room to let them know something has caught our attention.
If one of us likes the options flow and is willing to take on the risk of following that trade, we can alert the community to the fact that we will be following it.
Once I'm in a trade following options flow, I immediately go to the chart and start formulating the plan on how I will manage the trade. I will add notes to the community to give everyone an idea of what I'm seeing for the trade thesis and how I might manage the trade. For this particular trade, it reached a target level I had on the chart and in just over an hour was up 100%.
Everyone has to manage trades according to their own risk tolerances, trade styles, trade intentions, etc. But, If I posted an entry to the group, I'm also going to alert them when I exit the position and why I might be doing so.
